It was a busy Saturday night when Peter & I decided to visit Jackson’s Restaurant at Landmark Hotel in Eastwood.

I’ve been wanting to dine at Jackson’s since it first opened in September last year as recommended by my friend Diana whose husband is the head chef there. In December, Mitchell Davis won the title ‘Best Pub Chef’ in Sydney Morning Herald’s 2013 Pub Food Guide. Continue reading

Ginger & Shallots Chinese Cuisine is located opposite the double storey car park at Eastwood. I haven’t dined at Ginger & Shallots due to the reputation the location holds from previous owners. AJ’s Indian Restaurant located in between Eastwood and North Ryde has won many local community dining & business awards over the years and hence it is a popular Indian dining spot in the area. Zenya is a popular dining spot in Eastwood as it is one of the few places that serves Japanese cuisine in the area. I have dined at Zenya’s a number of times – and have personally seen the chef boiling a large pot of pork bones for its pork broth. Continue reading

Caffé Bom – Eastwood

IMG_2757I recently discovered Caffé Bom on the Korean side of Eastwood, what attracted me into cafe was the dutch coffee filter displayed near the entrance. According to the staff, the coffee is slowly drip-brewed over 8 to 12 hours with cold water and fine ground coffee beans. Continue reading
